What makes the score fairYour rank against nearby businesses sits inside this number, not in a separate report. That is why it moves when they move.
Sign up on the web, download the app, and your score is on your phone.
Why this matters now
Customers are not just searching anymore. They are asking. Best steakhouse near me. Best dentist in DC. Best HVAC company. An assistant does not return ten blue links — it names a handful of businesses. If yours is not one of them, the customer goes to whoever was.
From a real scan, Washington DC
times one of the most reviewed restaurants in its city was named, across ten questions a customer might ask
times a nearby restaurant with fewer than 500 reviews was named instead
23,239 reviews against 488. The bigger name was never mentioned.
What's In The Score
Verelia tracks your presence across search, reviews, social, and the AI assistants people now ask for recommendations, alongside the businesses competing for the same customers — and resolves all of it into one comparable number. No setup, no integrations, no data exports.
Review volume, star average, response rate, sentiment, and how quickly new reviews arrive.
StrongWhere you land in local search, your map pack position, keyword coverage, and the technical health of your listings.
SlippingPosting frequency, engagement rate, photo freshness, and whether your hours and details are current.
Needs WorkYour rank against the businesses competing for the same customers, whether they are down the street or online only.
HoldingRevenue trend, average ticket size, repeat purchase rate, and how much of your year rides on one season.
SteadyNew versus returning customers, lifetime value, and how fast a first visit turns into a second.
SofteningCustomers increasingly ask an assistant instead of searching. Verelia runs a weekly set of 40 buying-intent prompts for your category and city, records whether you are named, in what position, and with what description — then does the same for every competitor in your set.
BehindPrompts run weekly and are rewritten as your category's language shifts. Your closest competitor is named in 9 of the same 40. The coaching thread below tells you why.
The Model
The Pulse Composite Model, in four steps.
Seven things a customer can see or sense about your business before they choose you — from your reviews to whether an assistant recommends you by name.
Every measurement is scored twice — once on its own merits, once against businesses that sell what you sell where you sell it — and the two are combined.
Some things move the number more than others, based on published research into what actually drives local visibility. The exact weighting is ours to keep — it is also what stops the score being gamed.
One score out of 1,000, adjusted for what you have done in the last thirty days, so work you do this week shows up quickly rather than getting buried.
Where You Stand
The same seven dimensions and the same 1,000-point scale, re-scanned every week.
You beat Competitor A on star average and reply rate. You lose on posting frequency and map pack position. The gap is 27 points.
Why Verelia
There is no shortage of software that will grade one slice of your presence. The problem is that no single slice tells you whether the business is healthy, and running four of them costs more than it returns.
| Category | What it measures | Where it stops |
|---|---|---|
| Reputation platforms | Reviews, messaging, listings | One channel, priced per location at roughly $290–$300 a month, sold through a demo |
| Local SEO graders | Map rank, profile completeness | Search position only — nothing about reputation depth, customers, or revenue |
| AI visibility tools | Whether AI assistants mention you | Monitoring only, sold as its own subscription — it reports, it doesn't act, and it ignores everything else |
| Self-assessment scorecards | Financial health | You answer the questions yourself, so the score is only as honest as the survey |
| Verelia | All seven dimensions in one number, AI visibility scored alongside the rest | Measured, not surveyed. Ranked against your market. $159 flat, on your phone. |
Category pricing reflects publicly listed entry plans as of mid-2026 and changes often.
Other business scores are questionnaires — you rate your own cash flow, your own operations, your own marketing. Verelia computes yours from data you don't control: review velocity, map position, posting behavior, and your competitors' actual numbers.
Every competing score is permanently capped at marketing metrics. Verelia's extends into revenue trend, average ticket, and repeat rate. Nothing else on the market scores what actually happened at the register.
The incumbents are desktop tools sold to a marketing seat, with a login the owner never uses. Verelia is one number, checked in ten seconds, by the person whose name is on the lease.
Coaching Threads
A diagnosis, the points it is costing you, and a checklist. Verelia does the parts that can be automated. You do the rest.
Nine days since your last post. Businesses in your set average 2.4 per week. This is the largest single drag on your score.
You appear in 6 of the 40 prompts we test each week. Competitor A appears in 9. The signals driving those answers are the same ones dragging your map pack rank, and they are fixable.
Reputation is your strongest dimension. Protect it — response time is weighted heavily, and one of these is trending negative.
Three courses at $54. It is already pulling Friday reservation traffic you normally hold. Here is the response.
Alerts & the weekly digest
Most of the time your score sits there quietly. When something actually moves it — a bad review, a competitor undercutting you, a ranking drop — Verelia tells you the same hour, with the points it is costing and the fix already drafted.
“Waited 40 minutes and nobody checked on us.” Your reply rate is your strongest signal — answering within 24 hours recovers most of this. Draft is ready to send.
$54 for three courses, posted Thursday. It is pulling the Friday traffic you normally hold. Three counter-concepts priced for your margin are waiting.
Position 6 to position 9 for “brunch near me”. Two missing service categories account for most of it — a two-minute fix.
The Advisor
The Advisor sits inside every coaching thread and at the bottom of every screen. It knows your score, your history, and what your competitors did this week.
Responses cite the exact data they came from, so you can verify the reasoning.
Prompts are pulled from whichever dimension is costing you the most points.
Answers come back as sentences you can act on, not charts you have to interpret.
How It Works
No data exports, no implementation, no onboarding calls. The first scan runs while you download the app.
Business name, category, and city. Three fields, plus a card at $159/month.
We look at your business the way a customer would, across every place they would check.
Plain findings you can verify yourself — then the score that ties them together.
Alerts when something moves your score, and a Monday summary of what changed and why.
Web Console
The mobile app carries your score and your coaching threads. The web console adds what needs a keyboard and a wide screen — portfolio views, twelve months of history, the full text of every assistant answer, and reports you can hand to someone else.
All your locations ranked by Pulse, with the one dragging your average flagged and the reason attached.
Dimension-level history with your own notes pinned to the weeks things changed, so you can tell which decisions actually moved the number.
Every prompt, every assistant, the full response text — who got named ahead of you, in what order, and how they were described.
Open up your whole category and compare any two businesses across all seven dimensions.
A branded monthly Pulse report for a lender, a landlord, a franchisor, or an investor who wants evidence rather than a claim.
Assign coaching threads to a manager and track what got done, or give your agency its own login without handing over yours.
Tell us how many locations you run and we will size it. Single-location owners get the full score on mobile at $159 a month.

The tools you're comparing this against are sold through a sales call and billed per location. Verelia isn't.
Bought separately, a reputation platform, a local SEO tool, and an AI visibility subscription run well past $300 a month combined — and not one of them ranks you against the businesses actually taking your customers. If a competitor quotes you less, check whether the number is per location.
